Just started a new mystery shawl from WestKnits – still on clue 1 even though clue 2 has been released. Taking my time with this one. Interesting construction so far.
The Summer Solistice Mystery Shawl from Wendy Knits is done. Not too happy with it. Used needles recommended and had tons of yarn left over. It barely fits around my neck. May frog, use 2 needle sizes bigger and add extra rows. It’s in the time out for now. I’m so disappointed – I’ve never been disappointed with any Wendy Knits pattern, but there’s a first time for everything I guess.
I got sidetracked by the Marin Shawl by Ysolda Teague. Beautiful construction and fun to knit!
I just blocked 2 shawls – the Sangria Shawlette and the Secret of Change Shawl. Hopefully they will dry quickly. Photos coming soon. Here’s a teaser:

So I’m still knitting, crocheting and designing. Yes, it’s been a while since posting. So what have I been up to?
I’ve been playing around with dyeing yarn! This is a sampling from Holiday presents for Knitting Central Staff.
Loved how beautiful these skeins turned out. I used one color for each, and over dyed to get the semi-solid effect.
Here’s a sampling of the projects I’ve been knitting/crocheting:
