Christmas Recap II

January 3rd, 2008

Let’s continue, shall we?

Neck Warmers – some people don’t understand the need for warmth when it’s freezing out.

First up, Megan’s Ruffled Neck Warmer from 101 Designer One Skein Wonders. Quick and easy. What makes this so special is the yarn – Asland Trends Invernal, a Merino and Angora blend – so soft and cozy – feels just like cashmere, and the Moving Mud Handblown Glass Button that adds just the right touch.

Next we have the Flared Lace Smoke Ring, knit in Blue Sky’s Alpaca Silk. What is there not to love about this yarn – soft and warm with a little sheen. It’s one of my favorites.

Mittens are so quick and easy, and using Adriafil’s Knitcol makes it appear that I put a lot more work into the mittens than I actually did. Funky, fun and warm!

The wrist warmers are more of my Ruffled Wrist Warmer pattern.

The socks I am working on are my own pattern – Squeebie’s Cozy Socks. When they are finished the pattern will be available free, per Squeebie’s request. I had wanted to finish them this past weekend, but I think I’m all knit out. Can that really be possible? I enjoyed my long weekend reading, napping, and shopping. Not much knitting got done. But some did, so I’m not totally tapped out. Just needed a break.

That’s it for now – tune in next time for the Christmas Recap Finale!

    Danni,
You are unbelievable. You are an inspiration to me in more ways than just knitting. Your positive outlook you share with us at work stays with me when I am away. I hear the Danni voice that shares positive messages.
    Proud to be your friend,
    Fanone
