Christmas Recap Finale

January 9th, 2008

I have saved the best gifts for last – a sweater and a sweater vest.

First up, the Central Park Hoodie knit for my Mom. I used Cascade 220 Heathers. This yarn is such a work horse, and holds the cables beautifully. Cozy and warm for those chilly days.

And I found the perfect buttons:

This sweater took a little longer than I had expected – it could have been the Christmas deadline that was getting closer and closer. I am so happy with the way this turned out. And it fits perfectly!

The sweater vest is the Notting Hill Vest, knit for my Dad in Cascade 220 Heathers – again, the yarn was the perfect choice – the cables jump off the fabric with such great stitch definition.

He loves it! And it’s a perfect fit seeing how I had my Mom measure a favorite vest of his – a great way to ensure a perfect fit – measure an existing favorite sweater or vest!

I’m still plugging away on Squeebie’s Cozy Socks. The end is in sight. Soon Squeebie, real soon.

And once the socks are done, I think I really need to concentrate on what I have on the needles – way too many projects to count it seems. I have many more that what is listed on my In Progress page. I think it’s time to take an inventory.

Happy Knitting!

Wow – those are amazing FOs. I’m sure they were big hits. I love the colors. I’ll have to check them out next time I’m in the store.
