Sometimes you just have to knit a scarf (or two!)

May 25th, 2008

Ever need to start a project and finish it the next couple of days? Instant Gratification. Scarves will give you that.

First up – the Kombu Scarf. I had 2 skeins of Noro Aurora just marinating in my stash. I wanted a scarf to challenge me, but not be too difficult. I’ve always wanted to make this scarf, so I cast on and finished it in a couple of days. The Aurora was a bit rough to work with, but after a bath in knit wash, it softens up nicely.

Next up – the Palindrome Scarf. Mindless. Just what I was looking for. I received 3 skeins of Patons SWS Soy Wool Stripes last year for Christmas, and this is the perfect pattern to show off it’s yumminess.
